Congratulations to Ciarán Boyle, Colaiste Rís, Dundalk who won the GEP Globalisation award with his company ‘Rainwater Harvester’. Ciarán’s achievement was announced by Michael Devine, SAP (pictured with Ciarán above) at the National Final of the Junior Achievement Company of the Year Competition 2015, which took place at the DCU Ryan Academy on May 13th and 14th.

‘Rainwater Harvester’ is an innovative system to collect, filter and re-route rainwater for use both inside and outside the home. It comes to the market just in time to offer substantial savings to customers at a time when bills for new water charges are coming in. Not content with bringing his product to the Irish market, Ciáran has also carried out research in the British and French markets and will look to expand his business in the coming months.

Ciaran’s project will now be sent forward to European adjudicators, which if selected, will see him travel to Denmark to attend a European student business and globalisation conference later this year.
