Janssen: celebrating women and science

On Friday the 13th of March and Wednesday 18 of March, in Janssen Biologics Ringaskiddy and Janssen Pharmaceuticals in Little Island hosted a group of Transition year students from St. Patrick’s College, Gardiner’s Hill in association with Junior Achievement Ireland. This initiative was to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The focus was to introduce the students to Janssen business and the promotion of careers in science and engineering. The students were given an overview of the company, a comprehensive site tour and an opportunity to meet some of the staff.
The morning events combined inspirational speakers across two Janssen sites’featuring some key women in science, business technology and finance. Cliona O’Geran, Janssen Pharmaceuticals said” We were delighted to welcome the students to Janssen. We shared insights with them on the career potentials in the Pharma sector, specifically in Janssen.”
