PayPal Run Financial Literacy Programme in Dundalk
16 classes and approximately 415 transition year students from six secondary schools in Dundalk, Co. Louth are set to take part in ‘Balancing-Act’, a practical financial literacy programme sponsored by the PayPal Financial Inclusion Charity Grant Programme.
Students will be welcomed in to PayPal over three days where more than 50 trained PayPal volunteers will deliver the
‘Balancing-Act’ programme. The programme, which is designed and developed by JAI is comprised of three modules and aims to provide students with the knowledge, understanding and skills in accounting and financial management. Through interactive, hands-on activity based modules, students will grasp the basics of credit, budgeting and sensible shopping, which will help encourage them to become good money managers now and into the future.Upon completion of the workshop, students will be given a tour of PayPal and learn about the potential careers they could have there in the future.
