JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT IRELAND PRIVACY STATEMENT

 General Statement:

Junior Achievement Ireland (JAI) fully respects a www.jai.ie user’s right to privacy. When accessing jai.ie a user can be assured of the highest possible standards of security and confidentiality. Any personal information a user offers while accessing jai.ie will only be processed in accordance with this Privacy Statement; the JAI Data Protection Policy; the 1988 and 2003 Data Protection Acts; and the 2018 General Data Protection Regulation. The following outlines the information-gathering practices utilised by jai.ie

 Personal Information:

When browsing jai.ie no personal information is revealed to JAI. Any personal information requested from users while accessing jai.ie will only be used for the purpose for which it has been provided for. It should be noted that accessing jai.ie does, however, make some statistical information relating to user usage available to JAI.

Statistical Information:

When accessing jai.ie, information relating to web usage is revealed to JAI. This is information of a non-personal / statistical nature viz.:

1. The logical address of the server (.ie, .com, etc.) a user has used;
2. The date and time jai.ie is accessed;
3. The pages accessed and the documents downloaded.

The above statistical information allows JAI to ascertain how many users are visiting jai.ie and which sections/ information are most and/or least used. These data are used to consider possible improvements relating to the design, layout, and information specifications of jai.ie.
