Students from Coláiste Nano Nagle, Sexton Street, Limerick recently enjoyed a visit to Northern Trust to celebrate International Women’s Day 2017.
As part of their JA Success Skills programme, delivered by volunteer Mairead Ryan from Northern Trust, students learned skills such as building rapport, influencing others, teamwork and interview techniques. This was followed by a school to work day visit to Northern Trust.
The day was opened by a Janet Meehan, Manager at Northern Trust and a past pupil of Colaiste Nano Nagle. Janet impressed on the girls the importance of the skills they had learned in both their work and personal lives.
With the assistance of 13 volunteers from Northern trust, students participated in very successful mock interviews and learned more about the many different careers in the organisation. The day culminated with students being welcomed by GM Catherine Duffy to the new offices of Northern Trust City East Plaza where they were given a tour of the new building.
