500 students in 17 schools stretching along the Atlantic seaboard from Arranmore Island, Co. Donegal to Dingle, Co. Kerry are taking part in the Údarás na Gaeltachta/ Junior Achievement Company Programme as gaeilge. This programme gives the students a real life insight into running their own business. “Our students are fortunate to be part of this fantastic programme. Getting the opportunity to run their own business teaches them many valuable life skills. It’s a very worthwhile initiative.” Ita Gallagher, Transition Year Coordinator, Pobalscoil GhaothDobair

To reinforce their learning, Údarás is inviting students to enter a competition to find the best start-up enterprise in each area. The regional finals will be hosted in March and April. To all those competing—go n-éirí an t-ádh libh.
