Dermot was a private practice lawyer in financial services for 6 years. He then acted as in-house General Counsel in the financial services market for almost twenty years working primarily with HSBC. He is currently a partner in Matheson heading the Risk Department and acting as general counsel for the firm.
His belief in the power of education to change lives is deeply felt and he has volunteered for Junior Achievement as often as his schedule allows in his previous roles and since joining Matheson.
