Junior Achievement Ireland (JAI) is a member of one of the world’s largest educational non-profits, helping prepare young people for their futures by delivering hands-on, experiential learning in entrepreneurship, employability, financial literacy, and the value of STEM. JAI was established in Ireland in 1996 and since then has built up a strong demand from schools throughout the country and created successful partnerships with 180 leading organisations. 

We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and dynamic Communications & Marketing Manager to build Junior Achievement’s profile and create a recognisable national brand.

The successful candidate will need to be creative, driven, dynamic and will be part of a vibrant, energetic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing effective communications and marketing plans to meet JAI’s strategic objectives
  • Managing end-to-end PR campaigns
  • Overseeing a digital marketing strategy utilising social media, website content and e-newsletter
  • Directing paid digital marketing campaigns
  • Realizing PR commitments to funders
  • Ensuring consistency and implementation of JA brand guidelines
  • Drafting and disseminating press releases and liaising with media
  • Managing the JAI website (WordPress)
  • Drafting and designing marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, and annual reports
  • Planning and executing events such as conferences, launches and photo calls
  • Training staff in communications best-practice
  • Curating video content to showcase the impact of JAI’s programmes on stakeholders
  • Developing and actively maintaining positive relationships with all relevant stakeholders

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Skilled in distilling topics into concise and compelling stories
  • Broad marketing skillset across digital and traditional channels
  • High standards in terms of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Project management skills

Knowledge and Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a communications or marketing role
  • End-to-end campaign management experience, from ideation and planning through to execution
  • Demonstrated experience in researching, writing, editing, proof-reading, and developing content
  • Proven experience of dealing with multiple demands and competing priorities at the same time
  • Demonstrated experience in building networks and relationships across all levels and engaging with a range of stakeholders
  • Proven event coordination experience
